Naxos is a huge island with lots more agriculture than the other islands we've been. Our hotel is a 20 minute drive from the main town, right across the street from an amazingly beautiful nature preserve and secluded beach.
Almost every hotel in Greece is family run, which we love! The families are so friendly and really go out of their way to make sure you get the most out of your stay. They hired us a car and drew the highlights of the island on a map.
We also stopped to climb the highest peak in the Cyclades, Mt. Zeus. At the top there is a panoramic view of several Greek isles.
We ended our adventurous day with a sunset swim at Plaka beach, one of the popular beaches on the island.
