Walked around the town of Riomaggiore and stopped in this awesome deli to get about a pound of olives, salami, cheese, and a baguette. Then we decided to take a swim - not so fast! TONS of jellyfish everywhere we tried to swim! Big ones, small ones, purple ones, white ones. One fish, two fish, blue jellyfish. We were watching over this cliff at two girls swimming and one of them got nailed in the hand. She screamed a little less loud than I would have. When she came out of the water she couldn't touch anything with her stung hand, and when she walked past us we asked her if it hurt. Yeah, it did. She held out her hand and it looked like she grabbed a 900 degree oven - huge welts all over her hand and one giant blister looking thing on her pinky. Yooooowwww! I gave up on swimming for the day at that point.
After that we got back on the ferry to hit the next island, but ended up being on the wrong ferry and went all the way down to Porto Venere where the ferry ended. Whoops. Beautiful town though!
